The all-new 2023 Toyota Highlander features a brand-new powertrain lineup designed to improve both efficiency and performance as well as a new infotainment system and new connectivity features that will give Highlander owners a much more enjoyable time behind the wheel. More than ever, the Toyota Highlander is perfectly suited for the needs of your family.
The 2023 Toyota Highlander delivers better fuel economy and performance thanks to its brand-new 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 265 hp and an impressive 310 pound-feet of torque. This engine replaces the outgoing V6 which had a bit more horsepower, but a higher fuel consumption rating as well. The new turbo gives you similar performance with enhanced efficiency. It will continue to be offered with a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, making it just as capable as the outgoing V6-powered Highlander.
The new 2023 Toyota Highlander will continue to be offered with a hybrid powertrain, a very popular option on the Highlander which provides 243 hp but more importantly, a fuel consumption rating of under 8 L per 100 km which is exceptional for a three-row SUV. Better yet, the Highlander Hybrid does not compromise capability with a 3,500-pound towing capacity.
The 2023 Toyota Highlander also features an improved infotainment system which allows for natural voice commands to interact with the system. This new system is housed in a larger centre display that measures 12.3 inches in the Limited and Platinum trims. A new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is also offered on the new 2023 Toyota Highlander.
